In the midst of challenges and hardships faced by our nation, the recent success of our national football team, the Bright Stars, has brought a glimmer of hope and pride to the hearts of many South Sudanese.

As we celebrate this remarkable achievement, it is important to acknowledge the harsh realities that our citizens endure on a daily basis due to poor governance and leadership. The struggle against man-made hunger and poverty continues to plague our country, but amidst these difficulties, the determination and spirit of the Bright Stars serve as an inspiration to us all.

The representation of South Sudan on the global stage through sports is a powerful reminder of the talent, resilience, and unity that exist within our nation. It is a symbol of our potential to rise above adversity and create a brighter future for generations to come.

As a human rights activist, I am filled with pride to see our boys shine on the world map, showcasing the best of what South Sudan has to offer. Let us use this moment to come together, support our players, and work towards building a better tomorrow, where every citizen can thrive in a peaceful and prosperous society.

Together, let us congratulate the Bright Stars for their achievements and harness the energy and passion they have ignited within us to drive positive change in our beloved country.
